The Scrooge School of Persuasion

Earlier today, I told you about two of my favorite holiday movies. Still, I failed to mention the third movie I watched during the Christmas season:  A Christmas Carol starring Alastair Sim. If you haven’t seen this version, watch it as soon as possible.

In the movie, Scrooge gets visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future. Each spirit shows him how he’s become such a hard-hearted man. He vividly sees how his actions impact the people in his life now and what the future holds for him if he doesn’t change his ways.

That’s precisely what YOU need to do for your audience when doing a one-to-many sales presentation. um

You want to amp up the pain they feel about their present situation. Remember, you’re not causing your audience pain. You’re reminding them of the pain they already feel.

You want to future pace two scenarios. One where they take your advice and their future is bright. The second is where they keep going down the path they’re currently on and how their future looks bleak.

Painting this vision for your audience is essential to creating a stampede of sales or people clamoring to book appointments with you.
