Today, we’re going to conclude this mini-course, “A New, Lightning-Fast Way To Make A Slew of Sales.”
We are going to discuss the super-easy technology I use to conduct the online event, and a significant discovery I’ve made about landing pages and reminder emails.
Legendary Dan Kennedy says that “money is attracted to speed.” That’s good because my client didn’t have a lot of time to pull off his online event. As I mentioned in part one of this course, we had less than a week, and we couldn’t afford any technical snafus.
I’ve tried many different types of webinar broadcasting platforms and hands down the simplest in terms of ease of use and reliability is Zoom. I have never had a problem with this rock-solid platform.
Setting up Zoom for the webcast takes a maximum of ten minutes if you do it at a leisurely pace. That’s all you need to know about the tech we used, now let’s talk about the registration page.
Earlier this year, I decided to do a last-minute webinar, and I didn’t have the time to set up a fancy landing page. I decided to use the ultra-basic page provided with Zoom. The page has only a headline, a brief description of the webinar, and a spot for someone to enter their name and email address.
I was surprised to see that my opt-in rate was higher than when I used a fancier page. Thinking it was an aberration, or maybe due to the topic of the webinar, I used the same space registration pages for subsequent events and had similar results.
I guess that a basic Zoom page performs better because it doesn’t look like a typical webinar registration page.
I do know for a fact that having a hot title for the online event is mission-critical for getting people to register as are the emails that “pre-sell” the event. The bare-bones landing page would not work otherwise.
For the reminder email campaign, we used the standard emails in Zoom. That’s all you need if you follow the email strategy that I described to you in part three of this mini-course.
Here’s the bottom line:
Doing an online event as I’ve described to you is a gamechanger that can quickly generate a flood of sales for you. There’s nothing as efficient or powerful. Period.
