Most people wouldn’t allow others to speak to them as they talk to themselves.
Can you relate?
I can. I’m by far my harshest critic, and that’s okay up to a point because it can help you strive to improve, but at some point, that little voice goes from being a motivating force to a disempowering one.
What you say to yourself daily dramatically impacts your destiny and your level of success. This is a major, not a minor. But, unfortunately, changing what that voice tells you isn’t easy.
First, you must become aware of what’s happening inside your head. Then, it would be best if you observed your thoughts.
Second, you need to challenge or interrupt those self-defeating thoughts.
Third, you need to reframe your thoughts or replace them.
Fourth, it would be best if you kept doing it repeatedly.
As I said, it’s not easy, and maybe it’s unnecessary for someone nine to fiver. Still, it’s imperative for us entrepreneurs because we are confronted with problems and challenges daily, heck, hourly on some days. We put ourselves on the line day in and day out. As a result, like champion fighters, we get knocked down, pick ourselves up from the canvas, and keep swinging.
Controlling our thoughts is the most important part of our success. What about hard work? Yes, of course, but I guarantee you won’t be able to maintain a high output level if your mindset isn’t right because that little voice is sapping your motivation.
I understand this topic can be a bit esoteric and doesn’t float anyone’s boat, but that doesn’t make it less crucial to your long-term success and happiness. I’m conducting an entire masterclass for my Inner Sanctum VIPs. It’s titled “SALES THINK: How To Close More Sales By Upgrading Your Inner Game.” I’m recording it live on Monday, May 2, at 4:00 PM so we can discuss what I teach openly.
If you’re not an Inner Sanctum VIP, get the details here. I’d love for you to join us.
