I’m sitting in the Air France lounge waiting to fly home to good ole Atlanta. We just checked our bags, and there was one more piece of luggage coming back with us than we arrived.
While walking the streets of Paris, Karen spotted a “cute little” women’s clothing store. When we walked in, I knew I was in trouble. The saleswoman, who was one of the owners of the store, started asking her questions and observing to see what Karen was drawn to.
Karen picked something and was escorted to the dressing room to try it on. While that was happening, the saleswoman picked out accessories for and another outfit for Karen to try on. This pattern continued and continued and continued some more.
We left the store with bags full of new clothes and were forced to stop at another store to buy an additional suitcase.
But wait, my friend, there’s more.
Karen loved the shop and the experience so much that we returned to the shop the next day. This time, the husband was there and followed the same procedure. It was beautiful to observe. We left the store buying more outfits than we did the first time.
Yes, the outfits Karen purchased looked stunning on her; however, there is no way on God’s green earth we would have bought as much if it wasn’t because of the exceptional salespeople at the store and the beautiful sales choreography they had in place.
I’m going to keep preaching that SALES SKILLS and SALES SYSTEMS are the keys to you pocketing more DEEnero! You need to learn how to SELL and choreograph your sales process. Do that, and your profits will dramatically increase without you spending another dime on marketing.
