There is a gigantic mistake business owners and entrepreneurs are making right this very minute that is costing them money and putting their business in peril. Are you making it?
It’s relying only on one or two forms of marketing or worse, relying on only online marketing. Huge mistake, Bubba.
You need to use as many types of marketing you profitably can and that includes OFFLINE marketing. I’m not just talking about direct mail either but odds are that should definitely be part of your marketing mix.
A largely ignored but mega-powerful marketing method is, *gasp*, public speaking. If you have a local business, this should almost be mandatory. If you are a coach, therapist, personal services provider, financial advisor, etc., then it is even more important.
Get this: NOTHING is more powerful than getting up in front of people and speaking about how you can help them, in a passionate, entertaining and interesting way. You canNOT duplicate the effectiveness of this with online media. You can approximate it but it comes in a weak second.
By the way, since so many of your competitors are using nothing but online media to market their businesses, you can get a huge advantage by doing some public seminars, workshops or meetings.
