Why would someone be upset about the great results they were getting? I’ll tell you why…
Yesterday, I held my monthly coaching call for Dave Dee Inner Sanctum VIPs. One of the VIPs, Dave Jeffers, reported that he had sold 50 of his books (and counting) that lead to selling a continuity program.
He thought that was pretty good but was chastised by some folks because “Everyone knows you’re supposed to give away your book for free and just charge shipping and handling.” He asked me if he had made a mistake because he didn’t do what the gurus teach.
Mistake? I think not!
Although this isn’t the point of today’s diatribe, I want to point out that getting a lead by SELLING them something is far superior to giving something away for free. Someone who pulls out their credit card is a pretty darn hot prospect.
Does this mean that you should never give a book away for free and that you should always sell a lead magnet?
Nope.
And that is the point of today’s message, young squire.
Don’t blindly believe what any guru tells you…including your fearless leader, Dr. Dee.
This doesn’t mean to ignore good advice. It means to test different things and see what works for you.
There is always more than one way to skin a cat. (Who the heck came up with that saying?)
Remember: Results rule. Period.
Gotta run. It’s time for me to pick up mom and pops at the airport. They’re coming to town for my son’s high-school graduation.
Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
