Shh! This is personal

Yesterday I was speaking at my good friend Kim Walsh Phillips mastermind event in stunningly gorgeous West Palm Beach.

As an aside, Kim has the best break snacks on the planet. She went with all Italian goodies including mini-cannolis. Anytime you go with Italian food, you have made the best choice.

Anyway, I was teaching how to write emails the DEEmail way, and I made the point that your email should be personality based and include personal stories.

I asked how many people in the room subscribed to my daily email and a bunch of folks raised their hand including Inner Sanctum VIP Mary Silver.

I gave the audience a little quiz asking questions like, “Who is my favorite football team?” Mary answered, “Miami Dolphins.”  (Another aside, The Fins are an embarrassment.) I asked, “What is my wife’s name?” Mary answered, “Karen.” This q@a went on for awhile with Mary nailing every answer.

When you authentically let people know who you are, regardless of whether you’re selling on stage, via media, or in person, you create a likeability and trust factor with your audience. And we all know that people buy from people they like a trust.

My work for today is done. Time to get an espresso and head to the beach with a book. (I’m reading two books right now,  “Man Up” by Bedros Keuilian and “The Bullet Journal Method” by Ryder Carroll. Both are excellent.)

Have a great weekend, kemosabe!

P.S. Karen just informed me that we are headed to the gym before the beach. 🙁 In the spirit of that, if you want to build your selling muscles and flex your money making abilities, then upgrade your status now. Go here:
