Holy guacamole, Batman.
Maybe I’ve been living in a cage, but I had never heard of Valeria Lukyanova, aka “The Human Barbie Doll,” but I came across pictures of her that made me double-take. Here are a couple of them:
I don’t know about you, but to me, this is putting taking putting personality in your marketing a bit too far. It’s none of my beeswax, though. Different strokes for different folks, as they say.
However, regardless of your business, you must be putting forth and reinforcing your image and personality to your target market. And since I primarily talk to people who do seminars, workshops, meetings, or otherwise need to pitch something in front of a group, it’s even more important.
One of the simplest ways to inject personality and image into your presentations is to wear a costume. I’m not talking about something like the Human Barbie would wear but rather some article of clothing you are known for.
For example, my mentor Dan Kennedy wears cowboy boots with his suit. Lee Milteer wears red cowboy boots on stage.) Hypnotist and speaker Marshall Sylver wears a huge diamond watch. Me – a pink tie.
So what image would you like to project when selling? What is your trademark look? Hey, I’ve got it! Maybe you could look like Ken.
Have a great weekend and as always…
Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
