Desperation selling

As I wrote yesterday, making sales is difficult when you need to make a sale. Your audience can smell desperation from a mile away, and it is a major turn-off. But what if you need to get in front of the group and “kill it?” The answer is simple and yet profound.

You turn the focus on your needs to the needs of your audience. Could you read that again and let it sink in? You associate on a deep level what the product or service does for the person who buys it. You think about the buyers’ transformation, outcomes, and how buying your product will help them have a better life.

By the way, you need to do this on an emotional level, not an intellectual level. FEEL it. When you change your focus from you to them, you become a powerful and persuasive presenter. Your passion will come through, and you will close sales because your audience will know you truly believe in what you are selling and helping them.
