I’m sitting in the Delta Club waiting for my flight to Italy.
I decided to get myself an espresso, so I walked up to the very modern looking machine and, well, just stood there looking at it. I couldn’t figure out how to dispense the coffee into my little cup.
I didn’t see any buttons to push, pods to put in, grinders to grind, or anything that would deliver the hot goodness to me.
What’s a man to do?
Ask his wife for her help, obviously.
In a blink of an eye, Karen delivered an aromatic cup of espresso to me.
It will come as no surprise to my long-time readers, but I’m no rocket scientist. In fact, I’m only great in a very narrow and, outside of that, it’s not pretty.
Fortunately, what I’m great at is selling one-to-many whether it’s through speaking, webinars, email, etc., and that’s what brings in the DEEnero. Everything else, it outsourced so that I can focus exclusively on my “area of genius.”
If you’re just getting started, you’ll probably have to wear a bunch of hats. But, as soon as possible, you want to start outsourcing things that you’re not great at.
If you’re a seasoned entrepreneur, ask yourself what tasks are you’re doing in your business that should be handled by someone else.
My guess is, there’s a bottleneck you’re experiencing that could quickly be cleared if you just set aside a little time to find someone to do it.
Okay, I’m going to have Karen give me an espresso-making lesson now.
Ciao.
