It’s time to play everyone’s favorite game, “Test Your Bible Literacy!”
What does Proverbs 18:16 say about you and your business?
You have 10 seconds…
I’m sure you got it right and immediately said the answer is:
“A man’s gift makes room for him,
And brings him before great men.”
Let me ask you, “What are your greatest gifts?” For me, the list is narrow. I’m excellent at communicating, teaching and selling via email, through webcasts, and in group presentations.
Outside of those areas, I do have some competence and some things I’m very good at BUT they are not my “gifts.”
When you begin to work as exclusively as you can inside your area of genius a number of good things happen to you. Your work becomes more enjoyable, you produce better work and you begin to attract other great people who want to help you and work with you. It’s actually amazing.
As we quickly approach a new year, reflect on what your gifts really are and then develop a plan to delegate as much as you can that does not fall inside this area. By doing that, you will be making room for your gifts and reap many rewards.
Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
