A Killer Client Event

One of my most beloved long-time mastermind members, Linda Sherfey, a now-retired attorney, didn’t just practice law—she built relationships.

And she did it in a way that most professionals wouldn’t even consider.

Every year, Linda hosted a themed, clients-only event.

One year, the theme was magic. She decorated the entire space with a magic motif and even brought in a magician to entertain her guests. Another year? She threw a full-blown birthday party for herself—but in reality, it was a celebration of her clients.

And let me tell you, these events were legendary.

Now, I know what you might be thinking…

“Sounds fun, Dave, but what does this have to do with growing my business?”

Everything.

Linda wasn’t just hosting parties. She reinforced relationships, made clients feel valued, and ensured she was top of mind for referrals.

That’s the power of exclusivity and experience-driven marketing.

Clients who attended these events didn’t just stay with her—they became raving fans, sent referrals, and viewed her as someone different, someone worth remembering.

Now, is this an advanced strategy? Sure.

But is it doable? Absolutely.

The lesson here is simple: If you want to keep clients engaged and deepen your relationship with them, you must go beyond the transactional.

Find a way—big or small—to show your appreciation and remind them why they love working with you.

Because when clients feel connected, they stay. And when do they stay? They send more business your way.

Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
