Once I sent out a “late-night” email with an invitation to a 2 -day workshop I had my home.
Well, the husband of a subscriber thought I was sending the email personally to his wife, took offense, and told me in no uncertain terms that his wife was NEVER going to stay with me at my house and that I was a creep for asking her.
You can’t make this stuff up.
But that illustrates the power of writing emails that look and sound personal. You want your subscribers to feel like you’re personally writing to them and not to the masses.
Same thing when you’re doing a webinar. You want to speak as if you’re talking one-on-one with someone, even if you have 250 people listening to you.
The workshop was held in my home, with four people, and no one was sleeping there to set the record straight.

Just be careful not to upset jealous spouses. 🙂
