“What if…”

Quick – can you name the band Eric Carmen was in before he wrote the tune “All By Myself?”

If you said, “The Raspberries,” give yourself a prize. (I’m giving you a virtual pat on the back.)

This tune popped into my head because Karen left me for the weekend to go on an annual hike with our youngest son, Drew.

Hey, sometimes it’s good to be by yourself. It gives you space to think, plan, and contemplate.

One of the things I’ve done is open my journal and write “What if” questions. For example:

What if I simplified my online business?

What if I changed my target market?

What if we only had one funnel?

The point of the “what if” exercise is to question what you’re doing and to expand your thinking. You might not act on anything you write down, or you might have the breakthrough idea you’ve been looking for. Doing the exercise is valuable in and of itself.

I once wrote down, “What if I created an event that was unlike any marketing or sales event ever done?” And that was the genesis of the S3 Summit.

I asked the question because I was tired of going to seminars where the format was the same. Speaker – Pitch – Speaker -Pitch – Celebrity Speaker – Break.  I’d walk out of the event with a notebook full of disjointed ideas and strategies and more to do.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t need more shit to do. I want step-by-step processes that help me make more DEEnero in my business with less time and effort.

That, my friend, is precisely what you’re going to get at the S3 Summit.
