I knew this would happen

I’m reading a book titled, “No- The Only Negotiating System You Need For Work And Home” by Jim Camp. This book is out of print, so I had to order a used copy on Amazon.

The dude who owned the book before me had the most bizarre highlighting method I have ever seen. Quite frankly, it’s annoying, but I knew once I made it past the first couple of chapters, the highlighting would become less and less frequent until there was none at all.

I didn’t need my psychic powers to know this because the fact is most people don’t finish what they start. The begin with good intentions but then fizzle out.

When I had lunch with Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran, she said that “passion” in business is way overrated because everyone starts out passionate but then reality sets in about what it’s going to take to succeed. It’s at this point that most people jump to a new shiny object so they can feel passion and excitement once again.

Often this behavior is a way for us to avoid getting down to hard work. We start something and move onto the next thing under the guise of gathering the information we need to make an “informed decision.” It’s easy to research than to actually work, isn’t it?

Hey, listen, I’m not throwing stones here. I have unopened and uncompleted courses and projects that I started and haven’t finished. We all do but that doesn’t mean it’s okay.

So here’s a challenge for you:

Choose one uncompleted project, book, course, etc. and commit to getting the damn thing done this week.

I’m committing to you, that I will complete the videos for my new marketing funnel this week.

I’ve been talking about it, planning the funnel, and a whole host of other things for too long. It’s time to get it done.

How about you, kemosabe? What are you going to commit to completing this week?

Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
