I will rant a little about something that 1) is still being taught by sales trainers and 2) is costing you pain and frustration.
The “wisdom” is this:
Selling is a numbers game.
What a crock.
Making a lot of sales calls or doing a lot of presentations and hearing a lot of “nos” is a horrible way to live. Why would anyone want to subject themselves to that?
The “numbers game” goes along with “make more cold calls.” Cold calling sucks. It’s miserable and unnecessary, yet that’s still what’s being taught by the gurus.
It’s only a “numbers game” if you don’t attract the right prospects and know how to close the sale.
Do yDo you want to make more DEEnero? Then, learn how to get in front of more of the right people and give a kick-ass presentation that closes them.
I recently did a small group training for only five people. But, these people were highly qualified, having paid 10K each to be there. Four out of the five joined a $12,000 per-person coaching group while at the training.
I guarantee you I would not have gotten those results with tens of freebie seekers in the room.
It’s NOT a numbers game, except for the low-level salesperson. The high-powered business pro must do a better job of prospecting and presenting. (Is that you?)
Do you want to improve? Check out the most incredible (and almost free) gift.
Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
