On my Facebook page, I posted the following question.
“I was a kid riding in the car with my dad when a song on the radio immediately grabbed my attention. More than that, it affected me emotionally.
That song was Maggie May by Rod Stewart.
Since that day, I’ve been a super fan and have been to 30+ of his concerts.
What is the first song or artist who “spoke to your soul?”
What’s important about that?
It’s about the missing element in selling, whether one-to-one or one-to-many – emotion.
Influence happens at an emotional level, not an intellectual one.
If you’re doing a webinar, you want to move your audience emotionally and not speak to them like a professor doing a boring lecture.
If you’re meeting with a prospect, you want to discover the emotional reasons they want you to help them solve their problem.
Do that, and you’ll see your conversion soar.
Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
