If you are frustrated because you’re struggling to sell your products or services, then you need to ponder the question I’m about to ask you and answer it honestly.
Would you happen to truly believe in your ability to deliver the result your prospect wants and that you’re promising? Do you believe in yourself?
Some people will immediately respond with a “Hell yes!” but if that’s you, I encourage you to think deeper. It might be false bravado rearing its ugly head.
Do you believe that with every fiber of your being, you are the BEST at what you do and offer? If not, what product or service could you sell where you would feel like that?
I had REAL confidence when I got into the groove as a professional magician. My belief was so strong I could over-deliver on my promises that I thought, “If you don’t hire me and hire another entertainer, you’re a friggin’ idiot.” Naturally, I didn’t say that or even act like it, but you felt my confidence when you talked to me.
I feel the same way about teaching entrepreneurs, business owners, and speakers how to craft presentations that sell. There is no one better at it in the world.
Yeah, you might think I’m a cocky SOB with a huge ego. But I am the first person to admit that I am only great at a small handful of things. Outside of these things, I’m pretty darn lame.
The point is that you should feel that way about what you’re selling and about yourself. It’s not a bad thing; it’s a good thing and mission-critical to your sales success.
Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
