Kalia and I had the great misfortune of watching Jerry Seinfeld’s new Netflix movie “Unfrosted.”
It told the fictional story of the development of Pop-Tarts, and it made Ed Wood’s flick “Planet 9 From Outer Space” look like Citizen Kane.
I can’t overemphasize how bad the movie was.
Shockingly, someone didn’t say to Seinfeld, “Um, Jerry. You might want to re-think this,” or, even better, “Maybe we should consider bringing in Larry David to help.”
I would guess that Seinfeld has become so comfortable that he takes for granted what he creates will be successful, or he has many “yes men” around him who are afraid to question his decisions.
Fortunately, I have a team of women headed by my wife, who aren’t afraid to question me and push back on my “brilliant” ideas.
Still, I sometimes get too comfortable when creating one-to-many sales presentations for myself. And when that happens, my results suffer.
How ‘bout you?
