I just finished re-reading the classic booklet “Skill With People” by Les Giblin.
On page 33 he writes the following:
“Knowledge itself is of no value. It is THE USE OF KNOWLEDGE that makes it valuable. Putting this thought another way – life does not pay off for you on what you can do. Life pays off for you on what you do.”
Yes, it is basic, as most fundamental principles are. But it is one of the major keys to success.
I was talking the other day to a client who is following my public speaking system exactly as I teach it.
She reported that she is literally closing 100% of her audience every time she does a luncheon or dinner presentation.
So how come she is getting results and some other people are not? The information, the knowledge I’m imparting to everyone is the same.
The difference that makes the difference is action. Folks who get results take action on what they know instead of just being “knowledge collectors.”
To get massive results, learn what you need to know and then take massive action on that knowledge.
Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
