Wednesday Addams

Shockingly, I love the Netflix show “Wednesday.” The updated version of the 1964 classic TV series “The Addams Family stars Jenna Ortega as Wednesday.

Here is one of the most talked about scenes is the dance. Check it out.

Jenna choreographed the dance herself and had a terrible case of Covid when they shot the scene. She said she felt miserable.

As an aside, some people went crazy when she revealed she had Covid. Ortega assured everyone that everyone followed Covid protocols. However, that didn’t squelch the hysteria in some circles.

Someone who is not a performer might not understand why she would perform when she was so under the weather. You can find the answer in the cliche “the show must go on.”

I remember having a fever, sore throat, losing my voice, and still getting on stage to do my show. People paid to see me perform, and canceling wasn’t an option.

Dave Grohl, the frontman for the great Foo Fighters, fell off the stage and broke his leg during a show in Sweden. Did he call it a night? Nope. He got back on stage and finished the show sitting down with a broken leg.

You can check out that story here:

Pretty amazing, right?

That’s what pros do. Almost nothing can stop them.

I’ve got to tell you, while you might feel terrible during and after the gig, you get a level of satisfaction from finishing the show when lesser mortals would have called it a night.

Most people wouldn’t get on stage in the first place, let alone give it their all when they’re not feeling well.

You gain a huge competitive advantage when you master the art and science of speaking to sell.

You have a true superpower when you become exceptional at getting up in front of a group of people and delivering a powerful message that inspires them to take action. Prospects who watch you speak know it, respect you for it, and want to do business with you.

Understand this:

There is no more powerful way to garner instant credibility, authority, and celebrity than speaking. Knowing how to sell one-to-many, whether in person or on webinars, is the best way to fill your calendar with appointments with prospects already pre-sold on working with you.

If you master speaking to sell this year, your profits will soar, guaranteed.

Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
