Weasels, weasels, and more weasels…

I shouldn’t be ranting on this fantastic Friday, but I’m tired of the marketing weasels scamming people.

This past week I received a number pitches all with the same underlying theme: Work very little and make mucho DEEnero. One of the most egregious was how to make six figures a month working only eight hours a week with Facebook groups.

Um, okay.

I don’t know about you,  but I run a real business, and it takes longer than eight hours a week.

I also belong to some sophisticated mastermind groups with wildly successful entrepreneurs, and to a person, they’re working their butts off.

Now I do have two friends who are in business together who have reduced their work hours to sixteen hours a week each. But still, that ‘s 32 hours combined, and they’ve just recently got to that level after years of paying their dues.

The reason marketing weasels piss me off is they crush people’s spirits by setting up false expectations. That’s why I got out of the lucrative biz-op market.

True story: An elderly man bought my product which included a “Rolodex” of my best contacts. Somehow, this gentleman got my phone number, called me, and said: “I got the product I ordered, but you forgot to include the Rolex.”

Yes, we should look for ways to be more productive.

Yes, we should look for ways to attract more prospects and close more sales.

Yes, we should set up our business for maximum efficiency and so it meets our needs and desires.

But, the search for riches with little work is a fools journey with marketing weasels leading the way.

Have a lovely weekend.

P.S. I rarely offer replays of live training I do, but so many people have been asking, that I’ve decided to make a replay of “The Perfect Blueprint For Selling Professional Services” available tomorrow at noon. If you’re interested, you can watch it here: https://events.genndi.com/replay/169105139238453810/7e9633df0d/0/0

If you’re looking for the promise of more clients with no work, then my blueprint won’t be for you. But if you’re looking for a real system that works, you should at least check out what I have to say.
