Whether you’re watching the entertaining, albeit somewhat embarrassing debates, or listening to the two presidential candidates on the campaign trail, there is one big similarity amongst their differences.
Can you guess what it is?
Well, your fearless leader is going to not only give you the answer but tell you how you can make “mucho DEEnero” by doing it better than them.
First though, let’s review the., “Online Event Success Triangle.”
The first leg is getting people to sign-up for your event and then actually show up.
The second leg is creating a truly irresistible offer.
The third leg is the actual presentation.
Today, we’re going to focus on one aspect of the third leg, namely, the need to make a big promise during your presentation. (In my upcoming “Six Figure Online Event Blueprint” training, I’m going in-depth on all three aspects of the triangle. You can get details and register here.)
What The Donald and Hillary have in common, but both do poorly, is make a big promise. Basically, each say that they’re going to save the country and put people back to work.
While obviously a big promise, neither makes it in a compelling unique way or backs it up with proof.
When doing a webinar or online presentation, not only do you need to make a big promises, you need to have PROOF that you can deliver on those promises.
Neither candidate is doing that well and for, Trump, there is no excuse.
In the words of the immortal Ricky Ricardo, let me ‘splain.
Both candidates are promising to create jobs but the fact is that Trump has actually created jobs for people, thousands of people.
By the way, this isn’t political commentary. This is being used to illustrate a marketing point.
If I were him, I’d tally up how many jobs I’ve created over the years.
Then I’d create a visual that had pictures of the thousands of people who I’ve created jobs for. (Pictures covering a map of the United States would be cool.)
I’d also write a little script that would go like this: “Unlike Secretary Clinton, I have actually built businesses and by doing so create real jobs for real people. In fact, I’ve created (insert number) of jobs in my career and have done that despite the bureaucratic red tape and roadblocks Secretary Clinton and her cronies have put up.”
The precise number, back-up with a visual would be very strong. Testimonials from everyday folks who Trump created jobs for would also add fire-power to his message AND it is something that Hillary couldn’t duplicate.
So the bottom line is this: Whenever you make a big promise, back it up with as much proof as you can muster. You might not win the presidency but you sure will make a lot more sales.
Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
