You ever do something quickly and that turned out to be a homerun? Last week, I did something because I was tired and the Dave DEEciples loved it. I’ll get to that in a minute.
First though, I had an awesome weekend. AWESOME.
After the two day seminar I conducted, I hung out in Chicago and flew in the Mrs. for the weekend. The highlight was having a kick-butt dinner/experience at the best restaurant in North America, Alinea. It was 14-courses of amazement. I’ll post some pics later this week.
We also did yoga in the park with about 300 other people and went to the theater to see “Once” – which I highly recommend.
Here’s the dealio: I almost NEVER take the time to relax and recharge my batteries after I speak. I’m always anxious to hop on a plane and get home. Then, I typically get right back at it. While it might seem like I’m being super-productive, the fact is my creative and physical reviews are on low.
You and I need time to relax and recharge our batteries. You will get MORE done by taking scheduled breaks than you will be constantly pressing forward.
Anyhoo, last week I sent out a short video of speech made by the late Jim Rohn. The response was incredibly positive. (I do appreciate all of you who wrote and gave the video a big thumbs up.)
So here’s another video from Mr. Rohn tallking about the day that can turn your life around.
Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
