Today is one of my favorite days of the year.
Why?
Because it’s the day that the love of my life was born.
Yep, Karen turns ___ today. (Being the intelligent man that I am, I’m not filling in that blank!)
Every year, Karen receives a generic birthday card from our insurance agent. The card is obviously sent on autopilot with exactly zero thought put into it.
How much better would it be if the insurance agent sent a simple handwritten note inside a handwritten envelope? Heck, if he wanted to go overboard, he could even include a $10 Amazon gift card. The cost to do that is minuscule compared to the commissions he earns every year.
In his classic book, “How To Sell Anything To Anybody,” Joe Girard, “The World’s Greatest Salesman,” shares one of his biggest success secrets, sending many handwritten notes to his clients.
You might be thinking, “I don’t have time to do that!” But, who said you need to do it? Tomorrow, we’ll talk about using what my friend and living legend Dean Jackson calls “human automation.”
If you start and consistently follow through on the strategy of sending handwritten notes to your clients, I guarantee you will increase your sales over the next twelve months. In addition, you will get more referrals and repeat business than you ever have.
Sometimes going “old school” produces the most significant results.
Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
