The “MMM” market domination strategy

I’m competitive, so when working with private clients, I aim to help them dominate their target market.

When someone in their target market thinks of working with someone in their professional category, I want them to first think about them.

Total “top-of-mind consciousness” is what we’re after. If you achieve that, you won’t have to worry about attracting clients, and fee resistance will decrease.

One of the ways to do this is by using the “MMM” strategy.

“Multiple Media Marketing.”

The concept is self-explanatory. You use multiple media to attract clients. There are many reasons for doing this, but one of the key ones is that people process information differently. Some folks like to read, others like to listen, and others want to watch.

For example, I don’t like watching long video sales letters. Instead, I prefer to read a sales letter. Does this mean you shouldn’t use a video sales letter as part of your media mix?

Of course, not. A well-constructed “VSL” can ring your phone with prospects wanting to meet you. But, you also want the same message in written form and, maybe, even as an audio recording—the same message—different media to deliver it.

Some prospects want to attend in-person dinner seminars to watch a presentation, while others prefer to stay home and watch a webinar.

Another way to gain “top-of-mind consciousness” is by sending a weekly email at minimum, with daily being even better. Why not turn your email into a video script and a YouTube video? Same message; different media.

My private client Marty Fort and I did a webinar together last week, and he asked his audience, “How many different ways do you have to attract clients?” The top answer was five. Marty blew their mind when he said he employs twenty different ways to get clients.

Answer these questions:

  1. What are all the ways I’m using to generate leads?
  2. What are the different ways I could use to generate leads?

After you answer the questions, develop a strategic plan to start creating your “MMM” market domination strategy.
