The Fear Factor

Most people try to avoid fear, but not Pennywise the Clown.

He knows that fear is a powerful motivator. If you know what scares your prospects, you can craft your marketing to get their attention and make them want to act fast.

Here’s the thing: People are often more motivated by avoiding pain than seeking pleasure. Think about it—how often have you purchased because you feared missing out, falling behind, or making a mistake? Your prospects are no different.

So, what are your prospects afraid of? What keeps them up at night, staring at the ceiling, unable to fall asleep, as it relates to the service you offer?

When you know those fears, you can use them to craft messages that hit home. Not in a manipulative way, but in a way that shows you understand their pain and can provide the solution they need.
