It’s myth-busting time, kemosabe.
A piece of marketing dogma floating around goes like this: “You need to be on every platform, all the time, to get more clients.”
Instagram. LinkedIn. TikTok. Facebook. YouTube. Blog posts. Podcasts. Smoke signals. Carrier pigeons.
The idea is that if you’re everywhere, your ideal clients will magically appear. Sounds good in theory, right?
Wrong.
Here’s the harsh truth: trying to be everywhere is the fastest way to burn yourself out and still not get the clients you want.
Think about it. Do you really have time to master every platform, craft perfect posts, and engage with endless comments—all while actually running your business? No.
And here’s the kicker: your best clients aren’t everywhere. They’re in very specific places, waiting for you to show up where it matters most.
So why waste time shouting into the void when you could be having meaningful conversations with the right people in the right places?
Here’s your action step: Stop spreading yourself thin. Identify the one or two platforms or marketing strategies where your ideal clients hang out and double down on them. Go deep instead of wide, and you’ll see how much easier attracting people ready to pay for your help is.
The reality is you don’t need to be everywhere to win clients. You just need to show up where it counts.
