I have people who attend every webinar I do. They show up even if they have been to the same webinar multiple times.
A couple of those people always ask buying questions, often multiple ones, and never buy anything. They also click the “enroll now” button but never complete the form.
During a recent webinar, one of those folks asked a question, and instead of ignoring it, I gave a terse answer, which indicated I was annoyed.
Not cool. Dave. Not cool.
Whether you’re doing an in-person presentation, an open Q&A call, or taking questions after a webinar, it’s wise to compliment your audience members when they ask a question. “That’s an excellent question, John,” is far better than responding with “I covered that four times during the webinar, John.”
When you compliment someone, it makes them feel good and encourages other audience members to ask questions, allowing you to do another call to action and close more sales. a.k.a. “Get more people to schedule meetings.”
Whether recorded or live, the Q&A section of your webinar is one of the most crucial parts and can make or break your conversion rate.
