Somewhere over the Pacific, the cabin lights dimmed, and passengers settled in for the long haul. Kalia reclined her seat into a flatbed, put on her sleep mask, and—like clockwork—was out cold.
Yep, it kind of pisses me off. 🙂
I stared at the ceiling, tossing and turning, trying every trick in the book to fall asleep. Counting sheep. Listening to soothing music. Telling myself, You paid extra for this seat—just sleep already!
Nope. Nada.
As Kalia enjoyed a blissful rest, I realized something. This little scenario at 30,000 feet was a perfect metaphor for the truth about life and business:
Some people seem to glide through things effortlessly. Others? We’ve got to wrestle with every challenge, every opportunity, and every goal.
But here’s the kicker: struggling doesn’t mean you’re failing. Struggling means you’re trying.
If you’re wide-eyed and restless about where you’re heading in 2025, that’s not a bad thing. It means you care. It means you’re pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone to create something extraordinary.
The most successful people—the ones who actually get where they want to go—don’t give up when things feel hard.
They embrace the discomfort, adjust their strategies, and keep going.
So, as we toast to the New Year, here’s my challenge for you:
- Don’t shy away from the hard stuff. Whether it’s tweaking your consultation process, fine-tuning your lead generation, or rethinking your approach to scaling your business, lean into the work.
- Look at the people crushing it (like Kalia crushing her in-flight naps) and ask yourself: What do they know or do that I don’t yet? Then, learn from them.
- Remember, success isn’t about finding the “perfect” path. It’s about persistence. Keep taking steps forward, even when it’s uncomfortable—or downright annoying.
This year, let’s aim high, dream big, and get things done. It might not always feel easy, but it’ll be worth it.
