One of my favorite songs is (Sittin’ on the) Dock of the Bay by the late, great Otis Redding.
It wasn’t released until after his death, went to #1 on the charts, and became his biggest hit.
You might not know that Otis felt that the song was still a work in progress and wasn’t for prime time. (Cool fact: He forgot some of the lyrics and did the famous whistling at the end to cover for that.)
How many “projects” have you been tinkering with and trying to make perfect that would help you get more clients if you released them now?
For example, many people create webinars and endlessly make changes to the slides and their scripts instead of just doing the presentation and then making adjustments.
Trying for “perfection,” in many cases, is another form of procrastination.
Start taking imperfect action, and you’ll see your profits soar.
Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
