Sit down and let me tell you a story, grasshopper.
Once upon a time, I had a client who at first seemed sane and reasonable. She paid me a boatload of money and did exactly like I told her to do and got tremendous results very quickly.
The things started to go south. She got too big for her britches and forgot who brought her to the dance. She stopped taking the Deeman’s sage advice and results quickly declined. This of course, she blamed on your fearless leader/
Did I fight to keep her as a client? Try to show her the error of her ways? Attempt to resell her on my value?
Hellz to the no.
I fired her.
You see, she needed me far more than I needed her and that’s the position YOU want to be in regardless of what you’re selling.
If you have to make a sale or need to work with clients who suck, then you’ve totally lost your power. And when you lose your power, your sales will suffer.
You need to have a consistent flow of high quality prospects so you can 1) Raise your prices and 2) Work with the people you want to work with.
You want to be in a position where you can pick and choose who you work with and fire pain in the butt clients without blinking an eye.
