I’m sitting in the New Orleans Delta Sky Lounge waiting for my flight back to Atlanta. Here are some random thoughts swirling around in the old noggin’.
My beloved Miami Dolphins are in first place with a 3-0 record. The “experts” picked them to be one of the worst teams in the league. (Don’t let other people’s view of you have a negative impact on your performance. Be the underdog and prove them wrong.)
A maintenance person at the Watermark Hotel in Baton Rogue stopped us on our way out to brag about “his” hotel. With pride, he explained that the Fantastic Four movie was filmed there and took the time to show us precisely where. He then talked about the history of the hotel. (How would you like to have that gentleman as your employee?)
Fried, carb-loaded foods are the mainstay in Baton Rogue. It’s time for me to get back on the keto track in a big, bad kind of way. (Have you “fallen off some type of wagon” that you need to get back on?)
LSU football is a religion or cult. Everyone is wearing the same colors, repeating the same chants, singing the same songs, and rallying around a common enemy. (How can you add some this to your business?)
Are three double-espressos in less than ninety-minutes too many? (Are you focusing something you enjoy doing in business to the detriment of something you should be doing?)
