It hasn’t rained here in Atlanta for weeks. We are going through a pretty serious drought and the effects are starting to be seen.
Last week, in the North Georgia mountains, a tree was hit by lightning which started a forest fire. Although, I live mile and miles from this, the wind as blown the smoke down to where we will live.
Our backyard is smoke-filled and, although not technically on fire, you would think it was. When you look outside, it’s completely hazy. If you walk outside and have allergies, like the wife does, you will get all stuffy and start sneezing. It certainly doesn’t want to make you go outside and enjoy the beautiful sunshine.
The metaphor here relates to the vision you’ve set for you personal and business life. Is crystal clear or a bit hazy?
Having a hazy vision for your future causes you to stumble around and not really go for it with all you have. It makes it difficult to “step outside” and take the actions you need to take because you t can’t create a plan without first having a vision.
We are rapidly coming to the end of 2016 and now is the time to start creating your vision for the coming year.
There is no one better on the planet to help you than my friend and coach, Rob Berkley. His Vision Day process is transformative. If you are fortunate enough to book a day with him, don’t hesitate.
