A lot of people think that the best presenters—the ones who captivate an audience, sell effortlessly, and walk away with massive paydays—have some kind of natural talent.
That they’re just born performers.
Nope.
The real difference between the pros and the amateurs?
Rehearsal.
Not practice. Not “running through it in their head.”
Actual, out-loud, full-energy, timed rehearsal.
It’s what top actors, comedians, and speakers do before stepping on stage.
Because here’s the reality:
Most people think they’ll be great just by knowing their content.
Then they get up there and… stumble.
They lose their train of thought. They say “um” too much. They get nervous and talk too fast.
And worst of all?
They don’t notice any of this until they’re live.
Here’s what to do instead:
Schedule at least one full rehearsal if you have a presentation coming up—whether it’s a live event, a webinar, or a sales meeting.
Do them standing up, out loud, and with the slides (if you’re using them).
You’ll immediately catch awkward phrasing, weak transitions, or spots where you need more energy.
And when it’s go-time?
You’ll own that presentation like a pro.
Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
