Infected Lime Trees

We planted a lime tree when we moved into our new home. (We thought the landscaper planted lemon and lime trees but then ended up with only limes. That’s another story.)

Our lime tree became infected, and we had to spray it with a chemical, or it would die. The problem is that we can’t eat the limes for a year, so we pick them and throw them out.

Nearly every business has at least one part of it that’s “infected.” It’s what’s holding it back from experiencing exponential growth.

Many business owners know where the infection is, but instead of doing the hard work to fix it, they dance around the problem, buy the next shiny object to give themselves a dopamine rush, bitch and complain, work harder, or just keep doing the same things hoping to get a different result.

I’m not pointing fingers. I’ve done all of those things.

Ask yourself, “What is the one problem that, if I fixed it, would dramatically move the needle in my business?

Once you have the answer, focus your energy on irradicating that infection from your business once and for all.
