Before we get started this fine Monday morning, I want to tell you something I realized the other day that I should have known.
Over the past couple of weeks, two people reached out and asked if I’d work privately with them to create their platform sales presentations. Both booked their day with me to get it done.
I’ve been offering three-day group workshops for a while, but few people know that they can work one-on-one with me, where I basically create the presentation for them and get it done in a day. I should have known that some people would prefer that option.
I have two openings in April for the private day. If you want one of them, just reply to this email, and we’ll set up a time to talk.
Okay, let’s talk about the Amazing Criswell.
He was a psychic who appeared on all of the top television and radio show shows of the time and was known for making wildly inaccurate predictions.
In 1968, he wrote a book predicting events until the year 2000. Some of his predictions included:
- Denver would be struck by a ray from outer space that would cause metal objects to turn into rubber, leading to tragedies at amusement parks.
- He predicted mass cannibalism would overtake the earth.
- The United States would be swept by clouds of an aphrodisiacal fragrance that would fill every man and woman who inhales it with uncontrolled passion.
The Amazing Criswell was a character who captured people’s attention and, as a result, was wildly successful.
People are drawn to predictions about the future and that is something you can capitalize on by doing periodic webinars where you make predictions about the future that affect your prospects.
I’m not suggesting you make outlandish predictions, but rather those based on your observation of what’s happening and trends you see.
For example, my private client Michael Rozbruch does a wildly popular webinar each year where he predicts the future of the tax resolution business.
Making sound predictions is another way to position yourself as the expert and authority in your target market.
