By using a weird holiday, you have a fun and ENTERTAINING reason for having a sale or making an extra special offer.
By the way, you do NOT have to discount your products or services. Yes, that strategy will often bring in a cash flow surge, but you can also give an appealing bonus instead of a discount.
I once wrote a Valentine’s marketing campaign for estate planning attorneys where I made them “romance directors” in their market. The bonus we offered to couples who came in for an initial consultation was dinner for two at a local restaurant. (As an aside, we got the dinners for free as a trade for mentioning the restaurant in our ads.)
