A lot less.
There is far too much teaching in nearly every presentation I critique. Typically, that causes more audience members to schedule appointments or buy your product if you’re selling.
A client of mine was doing his annual live event, where he sold his annual membership. I strongly suggested that he cut way back on going super-deep into content. The result was higher conversions and better feedback from the audience.
“What about delivering value,” the Internet marketing gurus scream!
They mistake equating value to bulk.
Overteaching confuses and, in many cases, bores the audience, leading to dissatisfaction and lower conversions.
Cut back on details and focus on delivering concepts your audience can easily understand to move the sale forward.
