Milli Vanilli was a German R&B music act from Munich who was famously caught lip-syncing during a live concert.
Well, the same thing just happened to rock legends The Eagles.
Go here if you want in-depth, very technical, yet fascinating proof.
I was never a big fan of The Eagles, but this is sad and fraudulent.
Dictionary.com defines fraud as “…deception intended to result in financial or personal gain.”
Here’s a partial list of things of fraudulent marketing practices that are so commonplace that they seem normal.
- Fake deadlines.
- Pre-recorded webinars that are promoted as if they were live.
- This offer is going away soon! (And it never goes away.)
- We only have # of spots available for appointments.
- This is a one-time offer. (When it’s not one time.)
- The price is going up. (And it never does.)
I could go on and on, but the bottom line is:
Let’s not be like Milli Vanilli or, unfortunately now, The Eagles.
Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
