Aliens, AI, And The Art Of Closing

2025 is off to a strange start, isn’t it?

New Year’s resolutions are barely hanging on, AI is getting smarter (and creepier), and UFO reports are back in the news—because, apparently, the universe decided we needed more mysteries to kick off the year.

Meanwhile, here we are, trying to close more sales like earthlings.

What’s the connection, you ask?

Well, whether you’re selling to a prospect or trying to convince someone that aliens are real (or that AI won’t be your new boss by June), it all boils down to BELIEF.

Closing the sale isn’t about using tricks or pressure. It’s about aligning what your prospect already believes and how your solution helps them achieve their goals.

Think about it:

If your prospect doesn’t believe your solution is the answer to their problem, they’re going to politely say, “I’ll think about it,” and then ghost you faster than a UFO over Area 51.

So, how do you get them to believe?

  1. Start where they are: Meet them at their beliefs. Understand what they’re thinking, feeling, or even fearing. If you skip this step, you’re just another voice they’ll tune out.
  2. Paint the picture: Help them see their desired outcome and make it real. Just like UFO enthusiasts show blurry videos to prove their case, you need to make your solution vivid and tangible.
  3. Focus on them: Prospects don’t care about your features, your process, or how clever you think your solution is. They care about how their life, business, or results will improve because of it.

The reason most sales conversations fall apart at the end? Too much focus on what you do instead of why it matters to them.

So, in your next sales conversation, think like a UFO investigator: make the case, show the proof, and connect it to what they’ve been searching for.

Because whether you’re talking about aliens, AI, or closing a sale, it’s all about creating belief in what’s possible.
