Tomorrow, Kalia and I are going to Alaska for two weeks. The first week, we’re spending at a resort that accommodates 12 people with a Michelin-star chef. The next week we’re taking a cruise on my favorite line, Silver Sea.
Ahhhh.
And you know what?
We deserve it.
We work friggin’ hard and take risks that allow us to do these types of cool things.
AND SO DO YOU.
Many entrepreneurs are notorious for working their asses off, achieving goals, and never rewarding themselves.
I used to be one of them until I met my wife.
My m.o. was setting audacious goals. If I hit them, I’d tell myself I should have done better. If I fell short of the goal, I’d beat myself up. In either scenario, my mantra was…
“NEXT!”
No reward, just another goal.
While that’s what the “hustle culture” teaches, work hard all the time. It’s not healthy or productive.
Rewarding yourself is important to achieving lasting success.
Even if that wasn’t the case, time away from work is important to your mental, spiritual, and physical health.
It’ll make you a better entrepreneur and human being.
If you haven’t rewarded yourself recently, I encourage you to do it.
Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
