A quick, down and dirty webinar trick

Today, I’m going to teach you trick that will help you get a higher percentage of people who sign-up for your webinar or teleseminar actually show up, lower the percentage of people who drop off early AND help you increase your conversions.

Yep it sounds like a big promise but it’s true. Why am I giving you this pearl of wisdom? Because I am the milk of human kindness, obviously.

So without further ado here ’tis….

Create a pdf handout registrants download and print immediately after they opt-in.

I’m surprised at how many people don’t do this and even the ones who do it have poorly designed handouts.I have a specific formula I use that accomplishes three important things:

1) Acts as a reminder of the date and time for the webinar.

2) Creates intrigue and a lot of open loops. The audience member NEEDS to know the answers to the questions posed, the empty blanks and the incomplete diagrams. This helps get them on the webinar and stay on the webinar.

3) After it is filled out, it acts as a sales tool. If the audience member fills it out completely, they have helped sell themselves on the product or service I’m selling.

There is a fourth hidden benefit to utilizing a well designed handout – compliance. I talk a lot about this when selling from the platform but you also want to use it when selling online. By telling people when and how to fill in the handout, you are training them to do what you tell them to do.

To paraphrase Larry David, that’s pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty powerful.

Have a great weekend and as always…

Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
