Woo, hoo, it’s Friday, and I’m going to see the remake of the movie Nightmare Alley this afternoon. I’ve watched the original multiple times. It’s about a stage mentalist who turns to the dark side. I’ll give you my review on Monday. (I know you’ll be waiting with bated breath.)
As I’ve written in this prestigious publication many times, audience interaction during a webinar or in-person presentation is crucial to increasing your conversions.
One of the easiest and most under-utilized tools is polling your audience. Most webinar software has a polling feature, and the software I use for my webinars makes it super simple. (In case you’re wondering, that is an affiliate link. )
You use polling to:
- Discover who is in your audience.
- What are the most significant problems your audience members are experiencing?
- Topics they like you to focus on.
- Their beliefs about a particular subject.
- Answer quiz-type questions by giving multiple choice answers.
And more.
Another way to use a poll is to create a question that’s so compelling that people want to wait until the end of the webinar to get the answer. For example, “At the end of the webinar, I’ll give you the results of the poll and give a prize to everyone who participated in it.”
Remember: Increase your engagement, and you’ll increase your sales.
