Hmm.
Last night Karen was talking to a friend who admitted that she admonished her husband, “Not to follow Dave’s lead” before we all met for the dinner I wrote about yesterday.
Apparently, I have don’t have the most stellar reputation amongst our circle of friends.
Yeah, maybe I can be a little opinionated about certain things like movies, food, and music. But when you’re right about things, you’re right. Right?
Sure, I might occasionally make a politically incorrect statement, that might offend some, but I always make myself chuckle when I do. And laughter is good for the soul, isn’t it?
Okay, okay, I might be a tad over-confident in certain areas, but when you do make the best meatballs on the planet, you should let the owner of an Italian restaurant in Italy know that yours are better than his, shouldn’t you?
Come to think of it, another of our friends at dinner sarcastically quipped, “Dave is so humble, isn’t he?”
Actually, I am a pretty humble dude because I know what I’m good at and what I’m not.
You want somebody to sell on the stage for you? I’m the best in the business. Need to put together an online event or signature talk that kicks-ass? Dr. Dee is your man. Want help starting or growing a legit info-marketing business, look no further.
Need someone to set up a Facebook campaign? Keep on looking. Want to generate leads from Linkedin? The tech-wiz kid across the street from you will do a better job. Have some handyman work around the house you need to have done? Anyone would be better than me.
So what are your strengths? Are you fully exploiting your greatest gifts? What are you doing that you shouldn’t be doing? What parts of your business should you be focusing on? What should you be outsourcing to someone else who will do a better job or will do an adequate job to free up your time to work on higher-level activities?
As we speed toward the new year, these are essential questions to ask, answer, and act on.
Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
Dave “You Should Follow My Lead” Dee
P.S. This Friday, I’ll be sending you a video that describes my new Private Client Program for 2020. I’m selecting up to ten people to work very closely with next year. Maybe one of those people should be you.
P.S. #2: For you’re listening to pleasure:
