I just stepped off the stage

I’m sitting in the green room after just getting off the stage from my first presentation.

I need to make this quick but it’ll be important.

Control, baby. You’ve got to have control.

Regardless of whether you are selling to an audience of one or one thousand, you need to take control from the first second of your presentation.

And the only way to take control is to have a planned, not canned, presentation.

If you stumble, hem and haw, and fumble weakly over your words, you lose control and the sale.

Are you winging it or do you have a well-rehearsed presentation? You and your audience deserve the latter.

Gots to run, kemosabe.
