But what if they’re pissed off at me?

Before we dive into the topic du jour, let me answer the question that is on everyone’s minds…

Yes, the wife and I did try our homemade limoncello last night and…drumroll please…

It rocked.

As customer and subscriber Ron Friedman emailed me in response to yesterday’s post, “Making it is labor and time intensive but, the finished product is smooth as silk.” Righto, Ron.

Okay, onto more pressing matters.

Yesterday, I ask you three simple questions about what you wanted to learn most about “one-to-many selling” (selling via speaking or webinars) and I received some great answers that I’ll be incorporating into a new, free training I’ll be doing later this month.

But, there was one question that came up a couple of times that I want to answer now. It was basically, “Will people be mad if I try to sell them something at the end of my presentation?”

My first answer is, “Who the heck cares.”  Listen, no matter what you do, you’re going to piss some people off. That’s just the way it is. You want to know why? Because those are people who get pissed off. That’s what they do!

The person who is upset because you make an offer at the end of your presentation isn’t going to be a customer anyway and if they did become a customer, they would be a royal pain in the butt.

Second, you have an OBLIGATION to sell at the end of your presentation. Only someone who is totally arrogant and/or delusional believes he can make a major impact on someone’s life with a 60-90 minute presentation. Sure, you can give good information but you won’t be providing a transformation. To do that, your prospects need to buy your product or service.

Your other obligation is to yourself and your family. You are in business to make money. To make money you need to sell stuff. And if you’re going to speak or do a webinar, why not get really friggin’ good at it and sell a LOT of stuff?

The bottom line: Don’t worry about freebie seekers. They don’t matter. Let them lead their small, miserable lives and blame others for their lack of progress.

Go out there and sell the heck out of your products or services. You’ll not only help a lot more people but fill your coffers with the riches you deserve.

Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
