If you would like to learn the best, albeit unusual, method for creating sales presentations that bring in the DEEnero, then gather around the campfire ’cause Uncle Dave is going to give you the secret.
As I mentioned yesterday, I have begun writing the scripts for a big launch GKIC is doing in the fall. There will be four videos will a theme and story format.
You might think that I would start with video 1, that sets the tone and lays the groundwork for the story, and proceed from there. But that is NOT how I do it nor is it how you should script out your presentations either.
I actually started by writing the first draft of video 4 – the final video, the one that makes the offer. This goes beyond the well-worn maxim, “begin with the end in mind.” I like to have the end solidified and know precisely what it is as opposed to just having it mind.
I learned this trick from top gun copywriters who would often write the copy for the order form before they would write the sales letter. By the way, there is an art to creating order forms that sell that sadly most Internet marketers are sorely unaware of. Most just send people to a checkout page and are losing sales left and right as a result.
Here’s the dealio: By writing the close first, it solidifies what the offer is and precisely what you’re selling. This makes writing the scripts for the other videos that lead to the sale, easier and more effective.
Of course, it doesn’t matter if you are writing scripts for a series of launch videos or for a presentation you need to make at seminar, workshop or meeting. But you knew that already, didn’t you?
Kick butt, make much DEEnero!
