One of the most common (and costly) mistakes I see in lead generation is a lack of message match.
Here’s what that means:
You run an ad, send an email, or post something that sparks attention. The prospect clicks.
But when they land on your capture page…
The message shifts.
The headline doesn’t quite match the promise.
The tone feels different.
The offer seems unclear or generic.
Even if it’s subtle, that disconnect creates an invisible friction.
And that friction crushes conversions.
Action Step:
Audit your top lead sources right now.
- Read the ad or email from your prospect’s perspective.
- Click through to the landing page.
- Ask: “Does this immediately feel like I’m in the right place?”
If not, you’ve got a message match problem.
Fix that, and you’ll see an instant bump in lead quality, trust, and conversion rates.
Kick butt, make mucho DEEnero!
