Last week during the E7 Client Accelerator, one of the participants—an incredibly successful financial advisor—said something that made me pause.
He said:
“This is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. It’s the only system I’ve seen that’s built around leadership.”
Not funnels.
Not tactics.
Not marketing gimmicks.
Leadership.
And he’s right.
Most professionals think their job is to help, advise, or educate.
And while those are parts of the job…
The people who command attention, respect, and yes—high fees—are the ones who lead.
Leadership means taking control of the process from the first click to the final decision.
It means:
- Filtering who gets access to your time
- Setting expectations before the first conversation
- Guiding—not following—your prospects on calls
- Recommending with confidence, not pitching with pressure
It doesn’t mean being pushy.
It means being the person your prospect wants to follow.
The professional who doesn’t say:
“What would you like to do next?”
But instead:
“Here’s what I recommend—and why.”
More on that tomorrow.
